A Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure Wedding is a premier destination wedding venue near Asheville. As a wedding photographer, and past Rumbling Bald Bride, this mountain and lake location is very special to my heart.  I have been blessed to be a photographer at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure for 16 years!  It never gets old, and each year, Rumbling Bald continues to amaze me with upgrades.  I always look forward to my first wedding of the season at Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure because I know it will be even better than the last season (if that is even possible).

Lake Lure Beach Wedding:

There are so many options for these Lake Lure wedding venue.  There is the option to get married down by the beach.  The beach area has an exquisite view of not only the Lake, but the Mountains.  It really is something out of a Hallmark Movie.  Not to mention, Rumbling Bald on Lake Lure actually had a part in the filming of the Dirty Dancing movie.  Can we get any more romantic than that?  The padded white chairs sit on concrete so wedding guest don’t have to worry about getting sand on them, and the couple gets married on a platform so all guest can see.  

Lake Lure Terrace Wedding:

The perfect mixture of inside and outside.  The fresh mountain air and breeze, with a covered area to prevent guests from sitting in the sun or any weather.  The Terrace is elevated and gives guests a view like no other.  It is heated during the cold fall days or winter days.  It also can be transformed in no time from ceremony location to reception, all while guests are mingling and enjoying their cocktail hour!

The Terrace at Rumbling Bald is everything you would want in a reception area.  The staff is top-notch and dedicated to making it the best reception for the wedding couple and wedding guests. Not only do the guests get to see the sunset while eating dinner or dancing the night away, they get to feel the soft lake breeze and fresh mountain air that is not to be taken for granted.

First Look: Seeing each other before the ceremony or seeing each other traditionally for the first time in front of your guests, are both amazing options based on how you see your day unfolding.

Some choose the ceremony location with their wedding party as the perfect way to see each other for the first time as a bride and groom (before the guests arrive).  That way you have both Lake Lure and the mountains behind you. Other options include down by the beach on a walkway with the Rumbling Bald Mountain behind you
